The FiveCurrents creative team supported famed Chinese Director Zhang Yimou and his team across the opening and closing ceremonies for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. We imagined the Spring Festival, which celebrated the seeds of spring reaching across the world, as well as a 60-meter LED ice waterfall inspired by the waters of the Yellow River. Our creative team informed the impressive scenic design of the Opening Ceremony including the protocol elements, from the Parade of Athletes to the reveal of the Olympic Rings. Our team also conceptualized the snowflake motif, which influenced many visual components of the ceremonies.
