Serving as the show’s Internati0onal Executive Producer, Scott joined a talented Chinese creative and production team, and a cast of thousands, who showcased the beauty of Chinese culture, the natural environment of Hangzhou, and a technical delivery unlike any ceremony before.

The Pan American Closing Ceremony’s theme, unity through diversity, reflected the enthusiasm of the Games, as well as the unique cultures of the Americas. The Ceremony, broadcast to more than 300 million households globally, also featured international superstars Serena Ryder, Pitbull, and Kanye West.

More than 90,000 spectators, 7,000 cast members, 5,000 athletes, and 1,000 volunteers packed Brazil’s historic Maracanã Stadium for the Emmy Award- winning ceremonies of the 15th Pan American Games.
FiveCurrents assembled a team with an innovative mix of talent, bringing Brazilian cultural visionaries together with novel young artists to deliver what Mario Vásquez Raña, the former president of the Pan American Sports Organization, called the “best Pan American Games ceremonies in history.”

FiveCurrents produced the ceremonies of the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games, viewed live by 200 million people worldwide. The ceremonies were both authentically Mexican, and distinctively modern.
In order to create a central focal point for the ceremonies, FiveCurrents developed the revolutionary Halo, which was suspended across the roof of the stadium and housed the show’s technical equipment. Its retractable screen created the largest projection surface ever used in a Pan American Games Ceremony.
