We brought a cast of thousands to celebrate 1,000 years of history. The Ceremonies of the PON XX Games told the story of Papua’s past, present, and future. A beautiful set design was inspired by the rich landscape and diverse flora of the region, including a 25-metre-wide waterfall. A spectacular tapa bark scroll of projected cultural patterns and a glowing Noken woven sun were among the many unique ways the history of Papua was brought to life.
FiveCurrents created and produced the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Philippines 2019 Southeast Asian Games in Manila. The spectacular Opening Ceremony showcased the vast and timeless traditions of Filipino cultures, reflecting the energy, physical dexterity, and competitive spirit of the people.
Centered around an immense futuristic LED bamboo forest, the show featured a world-class performance by Black Eyed Peas. A cascade of golden pyrotechnics closed out this unforgettable ceremony.
