FiveCurrents helped Rio de Janeiro celebrate New Year’s Eve in a spectacular way by reimagining, directing and sculpting the famed Réveillon Copacabana for broadcast. More than 2 million people—all dressed in white—gathered on Copacabana Beach to watch live entertainment and celebrate the New Year. The event included five stages filled with Brazilian pop, bossa nova, symphony and samba, and an incredible sound system 8 km long.

FiveCurrents served as the Creative Producer of LiveCity Vancouver, a series of fan celebration sites in the heart of downtown Vancouver during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. With tens of thousands of visitors each day, LiveCity Vancouver featured impressive headline concerts, daily sport educational programs, Olympic athlete appearances, and massive sponsor pavilions.

FiveCurrents produced the vibrant 150th national celebration for Mexico. The Cinco de Mayo Celebration was broadcast live in 21 countries to more than 300 million people worldwide. The celebration was designed to shine a light on the origin of Cinco de Mayo and a fabulous tourist destination at its roots, Puebla.

The Walt Disney Company turned to FiveCurrents to launch Disney’s Animal Kingdom in spectacular style. We crafted the most successful Disney publicity stunt ever, right in the middle of New York’s Central Park. It featured 1,500 teenagers who created giant animals and revealed the theme park’s logo.

We brought so many people to the celebration that Disneyland had to temporarily close its gates. The 18-month experience was the most successful marketing campaign in the park’s history. It featured new parades, fireworks shows, and spectaculars along with more than 75,000 operating shows and special events, making Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary a truly unforgettable experience.
