The spectacular Opening Ceremony showcased the vast and timeless traditions of Filipino cultures, reflecting the energy, physical dexterity, and competitive spirit of the people.
Centered around an immense futuristic LED bamboo forest, the show featured a world-class performance by Black Eyed Peas. A cascade of golden pyrotechnics closed out this unforgettable ceremony.

The ceremony was broadcast to more than 1 billion people around the world.
We helped Copa América, the oldest international continental football competition in the world, celebrate its 100-year anniversary. The historic event kicked off at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, with 16 countries coming together to compete on the world stage in one unforgettable tournament. FiveCurrents was selected to produce the Opening and Closing Shows, which were broadcast to a worldwide audience by FOX and Univision.
The Opening Ceremony of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games won more Emmy Awards than any Olympic Ceremony in history; seven statues were shared for creative and production excellence. Our 10,180 cast and volunteers brought the games vision, Light the Fire Within, to life in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies—bookends of a rich and resonant story that drew the largest American audience of any Olympic Ceremony before or after.
FiveCurrents was retained by the London 2012 Organizing Committee as the production company and guiding hand behind the London 2012 Opening and Closing Ceremonies. The Ceremonies team included London creative visionaries Danny Boyle, Stephen Daldry, Mark Fisher, and Hamish Hamilton. From James Bond escorting the Queen, to Mr. Bean taking the lead in Chariots of Fire, Britain was on the stage for an audience of 4.2 billion people.
